I think it was a good situation for both parts. Eagles get a great athelet, if he is anywhere near his all shape, and Vik lands a place with the quarterback position in order, so he can spend the first couple of years getting back into NFL mode.

I actually think Vick on a team like the Niners would have been dreadful. Vick as a change of pace player a la reggie bush, is gonna be DEADLY. Vick as you main QB isn't going to win you superbowls. the athletes are just too good to let him win in december and January, and his legs WILL go. If you put him in situations where he and Mcnabb are on the field, and you run a reverse where he can pass, or shotgun direct snap runs....*shudder* screw a whole bunch of that crap.

I remember back in Madden 03 riding his legs and a killer defense to the Super Bowl(undefeated) with Jacksonville. Then I simmed the game, forgot I had autosave on, lost, them tried to save my season by shutting off the system before it saved.

I then found out why they tell you not to power off or reset the system or remove the memory card during a save.......

Was the the only time you went undefeated...thats why i stopped playing madden there was zero fun in going undefeated every season with it so much as a close game but i found a better challenge with NCAA Football series a lot more fun

As far as I can tell, the Eagles don't plan to ever start Vick at QB. They just extended Mcnabb's contract. And have a backup far more capable than Vick. There may be a chance they try Vick in a wild cat or something but those plans are far down the road if they exist at all.

In my opinion, the reason the Eagles grabbed Vick was to use him as trade fodder. It was a smart play. No matter how poor a QB Vick is, the media hype surrounding him will always guarantee that there is a team somewhere that is interested in him.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if he ended up in Cleveland, Detroit, Denver, or Minnesota within two years after being traded for a draft pick(s).

I think most of us knew something like that would be what they were planning. I've actually been saying since he got out of prison that he should try to become a wildcat type of guy and play some WR, because he's NEVER been a good NFL QB. Assuming he still has his speed, he can influence the game in so many different ways.

I do think McNabb at WR with Vick at QB is an intriguing idea. I don't like the Eagles, but they should be a fun team to watch this season.
