Make sure you have different players for each position. Don't put the same players on both offense and defense.

And you need 11 players on BOTH, offense AND defense! Plus your guys on special teams...

But you should take care: a formation on offense and/or defense can be today legal, but go bot if...

-> you sell a player, you previously had in your lineup
-> you release a player, you previously had in your lineup
-> a player gets injured on training update friday morning

A formation is for sure illegal, when you place the same player on 2 differnent spot on offense (or defense)
-> legal: Zach Tornado is on offense QB and defense DE
-> legal: Zach Tornado is on offense WR and special Teams Kicker
-> illegal: Zach Tornado is on offense QB and RB / or on defense DE and Strong safety

So especially on Friday you should check your lineup for offense and defense (for sure also special teams) for newly injured players

I always double check on game day the lineup

Also, make sure you are not using the same position more than allowed. Example, you can't have 2 Right Halfbacks. You can have a right, left, and center halfbacks (3 total), but not 2 at the same side. The only positions that allow more than 1 player in a spot are both WR spots, both CB spots, and MLB.

The best bet for starting out is to look at a bot setup for offense and defense and make your team out to be similar. Once you have a legal lineup on the field, you can tweak positions to be more like what you want to play to see if that is illegal or not.

Best of luck!

I've had some success with a split back formation(HB(L) and HB(R)). You can also run the I(FB(C), HB(C)). When I came in I ran the wishbone(HB(L), FB(C), HB(R)).

Best thing to do is just play around with as many different things as you can and see what seems to work the best.

I formation or pro set seems to work the best for dedicated running in the NA. other regions see success with single fullback sets and split full back sets, but they see some very varied defenses as well. Be careful depending on the run as a tactic though. it is the easiest to defend in this game.

Ok in that case I'll run a double FB formation I'm playing vs. CPU's need 2 run it up so I can close the point gap
