Atm I'm at -$317,362 with a home game this Sunday. Wages are killing me (77,511 per week, coaches make 17,500, and medics 2,250), even though I only have 30 players..

I have this 17yo S, but I want to keep him because I'm only interested in training, not in game results..

Positioning 5 Tackling 10 Punting 2
Vision 4 Blocking 6 Speed 14
Intelligence 16 Passing 5 Strength 9
Footwork 5 Catching 5 Agility 2
Carrying 2 Kicking 1 Stamina 5

Will I be able to do keep from going bankrupt and still keep the S?Last edited on 2009-07-31 at 15:38

It is not too late! Try to spend more money for your stadium, fire all coaches if you have. Try to earn money within a two weeks cycle (1 home and 1 away game, 2 friendlies)

So if you have 80k wages you need to earn at least 160k within two weeks. should be possible with the two friendly games!

PS: you challenge only from time to time, you have to do each week. So each week one friendly will save your club from going bancrupt!

Thank you for the quick reply!

I have sent 10 challenges, hope someone will accept.

If I want to fire my 10 coaches (set all coaches at 1) it says that I need to pay a sign-on bonus of 18,750. The wage per week will be 6,250 this means a nice difference of 11,250 per week, but doing the math I will actually be worse off for three weeks, and only in the fourth will I see positive effects on my economy. Is this normal?

Yep, it is...but if you have success with the friendlies your earnings should stay stable, so no need to fire the coaches...

GOOD luck

If you challenge me next week, I'll accept. I made $157K playing at home last week, so that could really help. Generally, you want to look for teams that have ~10K-15K seats as those are hopefully all the VIP & Execs which will bring a higher income per friendly. Also, make sure you check the mentor list for people willing to help.

And start training at average intensity. You are killing your players.

157k sounds awesome, I will definitely do that.

Thanks bro!

The training intensity is alright imo since I don't care about winning but about developing my players. The only downside is that it becomes rather risky as far as injuries are concerned. But I see what you mean so I'll lower it for now.

Fitness could come into play if/when you decide to sell your players. While people would still buy them, their earning power would be reduced with low fitness numbers.

I personally wouldn't even bid on someone under 85%, and even then they better be a great player.
