My understanding of the FAQ is that in 3 of 4 league games a player will gain half a star. In 1 of 2 exhibition games the player will also gain half a star. Yet I have many players that have played in 20+ of each and still have 1 1/2 stars. How is that?

I thought it also depended on stamina, player bpos, and other variables. But I have the same problem as you.

That's because they gain a point, not a half star. Unfortunately, I can't recall at the moment how many points to a star..

I think there is two possibilities on how many points you need to gain to get 5 stars in experience. Either it is 20 or 100 points. So if it is 20 it would require 2 points to get half a star, but if it is 100 points, then it would take 10 points to get half a star.

Based on my own players progress then I think it is a 100 point system.

There is definitely some kind of experience cap. Hell, I have a player that's been playing non-stop every game for 13 weeks and he still has 1/2 star experience.

It's rather 100. I got a few players that are playing almost every game- friendly, league and cap since season 1 and they have only 2 stars of experience... That kind of sucks

AFLC games gives tons of experience.

I think there is some mistake in FAQ or in game engine...

The experience point gain is only guaranteed in the AFLC.

The rest of the time, your players have a "chance" to gain a point. Thus, though you should be able to expect to get 1 point of experience for every 2 friendlies, you could just as easily get 0 since you have only a 50% chance to get a point each game.

Essentially it is possible to play for 3 seasons and not get a single point of experience (assuming no AFLC games). Be happy you have any!

For reference, my now QB Kegley has played in every game that the team has played (131 and counting) and still has only 3.5stars of experience. My current DT Nolen has 4 stars of experience and he's also played in every game. My SS however has played every game as well and only has 3 stars of experience. My Kicker played only a season and a half and has 3.5stars of experience.

Just goes to show nothing is certain!

But you know what are the chances? If you play 10 games and you got 50% to get one experience point from each. There is only 0,1% chance for not getting a single experience point from those games...

Well if it's 20 points to a star, I can understand the slow experience gaining. Because 18 league games at 75% chance to gain a point equates to roughly 13.5 points in a season, factor in cup and friendly games, and you'd should get about one star of experience per season. At that rate, without AFLC games, you're looking at 5 full seasons of league play, and some pretty good runs in the Regional Cup for a player to get their max experience.

That makes it pretty darn slow..perhaps regional cup games should have a 100% chance to gain a point?
