SpecialTeam-positions. Left and right needs hopefully no comment.

Gunner: the guy that is running like a bullet across the field to tackle the Kick Returner.

Kick Returner: the guy that tries to return the ball after Kick or Punt, and the target of the Gunner

Special Team Cornerback: this guy blocks to protect the Kick Returner (?).

I think that you are right, however I have never heard the expression before. But if that is the case the player should probably have focus on blocking and not tackling.

Wouldn't it be cool if the game designers actually bothered to update the FAQ to include all the possible positions in this game? Then this fair question would never have happened

The admins said the STCB needs blocking...

Been doing a bit of research on the STCB position and it seems that there isn't a specific name for the position, the closest thing I have found is "Upback" which just sounds even weirder. Normally it is fullbacks and backup linebackers and tight ends, that fill the position.

Only difference between CB and STCB is that STBC needs blocking instead of tackling (CB) for primary skill. Other skills are the same for both position.

It might be that tackling and blocking switches around and the rest is the same, but the rest is based on assumptions, so all we really know is that they need blocking.

Well - before we had only assumptions - now we have at least for one (sure a minor) point facts. Its a start!
