From the FAQ:

When the fitness center is built, your players get additional 10% on their fitness training points (this works only when training fitness of course).

additional 10% of what? 100 points? that would be 10 extra points per training is that how it works?

If he receives normally 20 points he receives a bonus of 2 points on top, IMO

Each training cycle (once per week) a player gets 10 +- 2 training points automatically, he also gets points from teamwork (teamwork divided by 2), each player also gets gets training points from the coaches skill (For Example: player is training kicking, the coaches skill in kicking is 17 so the player gets additional 17 training points) and lastly he gets 4 additional points for the training hall and 4 for each consecutive training hall upgrade. He also gains/loses points depending on training intensity and players age. And that's the secret of training in Grid-Iron world.

makes 10(+-2) + (teamwork/2) + coach level = training progress

with FC (fully upgraded)

he receives a bonus of 10% of "training progress"

It works pretty well if you have a player with good teamwork, good coaching or a decent number of training halls. If you don't have much of those, you're getting 10% of a small number.

Also reduces injures, right?

Yup, you get a 25% chance to skip one day toward recovery, a 25% chance to skip two days, or a 40% chance to skip two days for each injury update. Dependent of course on the upgrades.

Training hall adds points on top of that, but was not asked and I dont want to confuse him too much. So training a fitness skill with coach and Fitness center and training hall maximizes the players progress...

Explanation:
Fully upgraded Fitness Center gives u additional 10% to
Fitness Training Points, it even allows your injured Players to recover faster.

Fully upgraded Training Hall gives u additional 20 Training Points.

This is the Training Formula:
(10+-2)+TW/2 +TH pts +Coaches Lvl +FC pts = Training Points

One quick correction:

A FULLY UPGRADED fitness center will add 20% to the fitness training points. A NEWLY BUILT fitness center (i.e. no upgrades bought) will add 10% to fitness training points.
