I've always loved how they fought against the media and the press especially MTV (maintream nonsense). And how despite of the media embargo they became the greatest rock band of germany and one of the greatest of all time (25 years!). No one has ever done that and no one ever will.

Onkelz were and are unique.
And they didn't just represent a style of music but rather a way of life.
"Be yourself, stand for you, the truth is lived and is not taught."

And they did it all.
"here are songs against stupidity, songs for the heart,
songs that lift your spirits, songs against the pain."
