Does this skill influence in any way how good a player is on the pitch?

I thought that talent only limits how high you can go on a skill ( what is written in FAQ ).

It has been confirmed that talent also affects max BPOS Rating.

Talent (stars)----MAX BPOS(1-20)-----MAX BPOS (stars)
-----0.5-------------------11-----------------3----
------1--------------------12-----------------3----
-----1.5-------------------13----------------3.5---
------2--------------------14----------------3.5---
-----2.5-------------------15-----------------4----
------3--------------------16-----------------4----
-----3.5-------------------17----------------4.5---
------4--------------------18----------------4.5---
-----4.5-------------------19-----------------5-----
------5--------------------20-----------------5----

do you want to say that talent is something like conssitency during the game??

my question is: a player with exactly the same skills but with different talent can play better?

the talent and rating still confuses me a little. I have some players with better individua stats but with less stars than others. I also have players with 1 and a half talent but 3 stars rating? How does that work?

Talent reflects how high a skill can be. Talent 2 --> max skill 14

Rating is how well a player knows how to play on a position.
rating 0 --> he has no idea what he is doing on that position
rating 5 --> he exactly knows what is expected of him on that position.

Talent affects, to a degree, the overall skill of a player. BPOS is a factor of in game rating. So a 5 talent player trained to 10 in all skills will be better than a 1 talent player trained to 10 in all skills if they have their max BPOS.

I think the answer to your question is that, with all other things equal (current BPOS rating, skills, etc.), talent will not actually make a player play any better. To my understanding talent ONLY is a cap on how good the player can be and has NOTHING to do with how good they currently are (this is all affected in their skills and ratings). Correct me if I'm wrong

From my understanding, you are. As I said previously, talent dictates how high your BPOS can go. BPOS has a direct correlation to how well a player plays in the game. So talent affects performance.

Future performance, not current performance!??

Better to rephrase like this:
Talent does not affect performance until caps in positional rating or skills are reached. As soon as they are, it will cap performance and will not let it improve any further.

I mean, for eg. posrat is capped due to many games played, posrat will not improve performance any more. However, performance can still be improved by skillpops.

Performance=skills+posrat+exp+chem+cons+stam+...
