I have this LB with:

Talent = 4 stars
Teamwork = 20
Consistency = 20
Intelligence = 19
Team Chem. = 5 stars.

Oh, and he is only 20 years old....

Will be interesting to see how he will turn out in a few years.

I wondered what is the best training system for LB's,Most of mine are 2.5-3.5 star
Speed 10 to 15
Strength 8 to 15
Tackling 6 to 10
Intelligence 1 to 20

Is it best to train each one differently or say build up thier fitness.
Any suggestions.
Thanks

I would treat each one differently, training up weaker area first, so making a more rounded player, but don't forget Positioning is important for a LB.

I would definitively go all for strength and speed, if the player caps out early on those then I would reconsider him for another position.

I had a LB with a 2 in catching get a couple of ints last season.

Y'know, I think that is okay. Let's look at real life. A WR has great catching because that is what he does ... makes amazing jumping/dving/fingertip catches behind his back.

LB's don't do that. When they get an INT it is because they are suddenly playing "Catch" with an unwitting QB by being smart &/or lucky and drop in between the QB & WR/TE. They just have to stick out their hands and hope to catch the thing. If not, they bat it down. That's a win for then either way. Sure, there are some LBs who can play great coverage and get more than an average # of INTs, sometimes even by a great catch, but that is def'ly an exception rather than a rule.

tackling = win

unlike real life where a 30 yard gain is really big, in GI it really doesnt mean all that much.
if you can tackle well, even if all your other skills are good, you can keep the offense from scoring since the offense has really no consistency.

the offense will move the ball when it gets a good roll, but most of the time it doesnt. on the times it does, you want to be able to tackle well.
throughout a whole game, the offense will get probably 15-20 plays they actually gain yards. in those 15-20 plays, on average 10-15 are 10+ yards. if you can tackle them, the offense will rarely score

bend but don't break defense. don't allow the 40+ yard plays and you have a very good defense.
