When you click on his information, it should say his best playing roles, then underneath it should say:

***** ****** plans to retire from pro-football after this season is over

You should have more respect for elderly people. We cannot just shoot everyone who isn't at his best, right?

This will be rearranged with some other stuff which will be published in game news later this season.

This would be all well and good, but when its suddenly announced that u cant do a thing about it. Even if the season before the coach note says this player is thinking of retiring soon or next season. u just cant plan it out, its plain luck who will retire. so cutting players aged 27+ is this really an optimal use of the retirement engine!?

old enough to know better young enough to enjoy gaming

just some notice nothing huge game wise.

I understand the frustration, but really to me this is one of those things that the game has right compared to real life. It's not like teams get a lot of notice when a player is going to retire in the NFL. Most of the time the player just decides after the season that he's done. At least here we get some notice to start planning for the future.
