I'm a semi experienced guy now, and you really do have to watch finances carefully now. If you can't get into the Mentor program (which is absolutely fantastic BTW) then look at the general discussion forum and see if any friendly cups are being played.

I'm involved in one just now which is why I'm not taking advantage of the mentor prog, but I do have guaranteed friendlies for the next season or so, and all games are played at the biggest stadiums so you will make some money whilst having a variety of people to play against.

My first "inflated" wage bill has come in and it's increased by approx 60K. Bit of a shocker, and like you my sponsorhip alone won't cover it, but remember it all adds up.

For example I get 59049 a week, plus 14763 for league wins, plus 19000 for cup wins, plus 12000 for sponsors.

If I'm lucky enough to win both my league and cup games in one week as well as remembering to put gameday sponsors on for each game then I get 128812. Leaves me approx 19K to find in ticket sales and other incomes. I am just about to purge my squad of older players and maybe make some salary decisions so that will bring in some extra too.

It's still possible to make money and survive, you just have to be careful.

Good luck for this season and although it's not big, anytime I can host you at my stadium you're more than welcome. (3290 ATM but ever expanding)

butch,

I was looking at your team and at this point I suggest that you trim your team to the bones and take a little risk on for this season. Now I don't know your players skills, however, what I would do and had to do in my first season is release some players. I would drop the following:
QB
RB
WR
K
2G
2KR

2608,3144,3405,2705,1030,2129,3161,4680 = 22862 total salary

Now the special teams positions you would double up on your remaining players.
I also noticed you only have 4 o-line so makes me wonder either your're training somebody on your team to fill a gap? Anyways, the numbers would work

100,000 loss
- 22,862 from released players salarys

77,000 loss
-70,000 sponsers

-7,000 loss

so, with winning a few friend games and a league games you should have no problems with financies. Then rebuild your team from there.

I would have made a 427 dollar profit this week - till i spent 40,000 on the stadium

im having fun playing this game, i hope that won't be ruined by massive financial constraints thats all.
