Am ruled out of playing on sunday as I have some problems in my groin area. Sore to walk, let alone run. Believe me I wish it was because of over usage

Still be on the sidelines helping the team out, will let you know how it goes

Good to see the game is still here in the UK at grassroots level. Used to watch my local team in the late 80's and ended up playing in their junior side, good days.

Update on the season.

We lost last Sunday 37-0

Almost got our first points on the season, but a FG opportunity got mucked up by some bad communication between sideline and field. No Timeouts left so that half ended b4 we could get the kick away

so far played 2, lost 2, 101 points against, 0 points for.

Know what??

Couldn't give a monkeys!!!!!!!

Was so frustrated being on sidelines last week that was quoting films last night at training cause was happy to be playing.

The Waterboy
"Gators are onorry cause o' their madula oblongatta"

The Replacements
"Pain heals, Chicks dig scars....Glory lives forever"

Short Circuit
"Hey laserlips, You're mama was a snow blower" (to the DB opposite me on many plays, kinda wound him up then burned him on a go route cause he tried to jam me on the line!!!!!)

Had real fun and looking forward to playing against Chester on Sunday. We're at home so probably gonna be our best chance of winning a game this year as they didn't win any of theirs last year.

Here's hoping.

Another loss, but again some silver linings. After combining the youth and senior teams together and effectively having 2 groups have to merge and mould to one coherently we're starting to see signs of life.

We were stopped 4 yds short of the endzone and came so close to scoring our first TD. Our kicker was injured and we had no backup so we had to go for it on 4th.

I caught 2 passes (100% reception rate) for 45 yds, both of which were slants over the middle. At 31yrs old I have lost some speed but I have reasonably reliable hands.

It was also a very clean game with flags only thrown for mistakes, no personal fouls or refs needing to talk to us.

Next game is away to Glasgow who are GOOD!!!

We're also down about 10-12 players so may not have enough bodies to make the trip. Real possibility of a request to postpone the match.

10-12? Are people getting injured rapidly, or do you have people playing offense and defense, or what?

Today we had people playing both offense and defense. As a squad we are desperatly short of linemen with only bout 8 or 9 on the roster. 3 of them were unable to make today, which left us with only 5 guys to play both O and D line. We've also got some niggling injuries which have been aggravated, our 2 main QB's got injured this game and our backup QB's normally play LB and CB. They don't mind going in if need be but they're not a solution only a stop gap.

Plain and simple we don't have a big enough squad, not only that but because the sport is still in such a minority over here it is difficult to recruit and get guys turned on the the fun you can have playing.

We'll work through it but it's gonna be tough.

Also down cause of players not being able to make the trip because of work, family, and whatever else life decides to put in the way. Money is a big problem at the moment
