Hey brand new newbie here, having trouble challenging teams to friendly games! My challenger page is not responsive. Thought by signing up for the supporter feature it would start working in a user friendly manner, no such luck! What am i doing wrong?

If you are looking at a team and their Challenge button is grayed out, then that means that they already have a challenge. Look for teams that have a non-grayed (black) challenge button.

Also go to the Community tab, take the second sub-heading icon (Ads) and then go to 'Friendly games' - here you'll see managers advertising for friendlies, and you can do so yourself.
