hi, I've been playing in the central europe top division for a long time, which seems to me to be a very tough competition (more than the aflc) and I wonder: am I the only one who thinks that the home advantage is too much?

the regional cup matches seem much more interesting to me and there is no home advantage there, while in the championship the advantage is present, but too much...

I would suggest:
1) eliminating it completely in the championship too
2) or: leaving it active only for the first 2 halves.
3) or: trying to reduce it by 50% compared to the current one.

What do you think?

It needs to be toned down for sure. I think I read somewhere that in the NFL the home field advantage is worth +3 points. Here it is more like +14 points and so it is definitely excessive. Any decent team that runs the ball on every down (thus removing the chance of turnovers) is going to win 9 times out of 10 while playing at home. Not my idea of fun.

Does anybody remember the old "away field advantage" that was being used with the previous engine? That was probably a much more balanced solution: both teams being equal, there was an advantage for one team but it wasn't so overwhelming and thus the other team could reasonably expect to win 3 or 4 times out of 10 (which sounds about realistic).

The Away Field Advantage of the old engine was a bug obviously, it should have been the other way around. Anyway, my impression is that it was worth like +7 points and then they decided to make it twice as strong with the current engine.

I maintain it should probably be nerfed. To me it does not make a lot of sense to see teams that are 7-0 at home and 0-7 on the road or something like that. At the end of the day, however, it is not that big of a deal and for sure there are more pressing improvements that the devs should be looking at.
