Could be. There is - just outside Herning in Denmark - a bell ringing that could lead my thoughts to a remembrance of a requirement to have some months of experience, but the bell is not loud enough for me to remember what the limit is.

Perhaps you can get lucky that some country will not have any applicants (or even any coaches) and then you can apply for that team once voting is over.

I believe there is a requirement. Something like you need to have your team for at least six months to apply. Somebody else might be able to confirm or refute this.

Regardless of your time in the game, after the voting has finished, you can send a request to the admins to coach a team. If Canada doesn't have a coach at that time, you can request it, though I don't know how they are about requests for specific teams. Whenever I have requested, I just ask for any available team and I tend to get one of the higher ranked teams without a coach. It seems to me they assign new coaches in this manner as they get the requests, meaning, first come, first serve.
