(position) Rating stars increase by playing at a position. If the position you want to play him at is not his main position, it will take longer to see the rating go up on the front page. It will go up on the positions listing though. About 10 games played at a position will increase that position by 1/2 star.
Experience and Team Chemistry stars increase by playing in games. I believe it's roughly 10-12 games played will max (or get close to max) on team chemistry. Experience is still a bit of a mystery, to me anyway. It will increase, but I haven't paid enough attention to how much and how fast. But it is very slow.
Talent does not increase ever.
