Okay so as you move from the lowers levels to becoming competitive obviously a huge part of the game is remaining balanced financially, and not going bankrupt. So can some experienced top division or aflc teams give me some insight into these questions?

1. Stadium size. Once you get to top division, what is an ideal stadium size to have (assuming no aflc)?

2. Wages. What do you find is the highest wage level your team can be, with out aflc, and remain profitable?

3. Competitiveness. What place will you need to take in top division/ round of the cup will you need to reach to be profitable? (Ex. Top 4 in TD, and final 8 in cup, etc etc)

Thanks in advance everyone!

Hi Belau! These are all very good questions and I am sure that different managers will have different answers about some of these but here are mine...

1. The ideal stadium size is the size that maximizes your VIP and more expensive seats. Most successful Top Division managers have a stadium size between 70-80K as a sweet spot to maximize revenue. Once you start building larger, you run the risk of not filling your more expensive seats.

2. The wage question is also very subjective to the manager and depends on the skills of managing finances. I have had successful seasons (without AFLC) where I averaged over $1.5M in total wages. This season, for example, I had one of my strongest teams ever and my wages were $1.8M at its peak. Unfortunately, I lost in the Final 8 of the Cup to Chaos Regulators and couldn't overcome Socten in last week's 1v2 showdown, so I cut wages down to the $1.1M level. Therefore, I would say that a safe target is in the $1M range in the Top Division. However, I would say that if you are not competitive (in top half) and filling your stadium on a routine basis to cover your $1M salary, you will eventually get yourself into financial trouble. This is because if you are in the bottom half of the league, you won't be filling your stadium and will struggle later in seasons with finances.

3. As far as competitiveness goes, if you make some smart decisions in the transfer market and train-up your young players, you can be competitive. Top 5 of the Top Division will keep you financially competitive, as long as you have controlled your salaries properly. Most top 5 teams also should be making deep Cup runs each season. Making it to the final 8 of the Cup each season is probably a good barometer, although I am disappointed if I don't reach the Final 4. If you are losing before the Final 8, then you really need to evaluate your situation. Sometimes people get a bad break and are matched up versus a top division team and other times its simply time to make some changes.

Just my 2 cents but I am curious what others say.

If i had to take one scenario...
1. 60000.
2. 1.2 million.
3. Does not matter. If you relegate, you will win many matches. Just make sure you have reserves to cope with the fluctuation.
