Hi, I see the new season's first games are due on the 27th Feb, but there's no schedule listed for my team yet.

When does this go up so I can set orders?

Thanks.

They should be flipping the pages during today, so check in later or as Annie says..."Tomorrow... tomorrow. You're only a day awaaaaaaaayyyy...."

If you are ever feeling down, just know that neither of Dorfenschmirtz's parents showed up to his birth.

Why does my team get a bye if the first round of the regional cup? Seems like the vast majority of teams overall in this game are getting a bye. I'd actually prefer to play each round, esp against BOT teams because I can get per game ticket / win bonus / match sponsors income. How is the cup tournament set up and determined which teams play each round?

There are 1210 teams in the North American region. The smallest tourney bracket that fits that many teams needs 2048 teams. That means that 838 byes are needed to ensure there are 1024 teams remaining after the first round. 838 teams in North American region will have byes, and the remaining 372 teams will play each other. This also ensures no byes after the first round.

Yes, it's nice to have a game in the first round and it happens occasionally, but with only 372 teams playing each other in the first round out of 1210, it doesn't happen often. What really stinks is if you play a team much better than you in the first round. Not only do you lose, (which you would have also done if you played that same team in the next round), but you don't qualify for tournament money at the end of the season either. You need to finish in the top 1024 to get any tournament money.

Thank you for the information, very helpful. I wonder how many of the 1,210 NA teams actually have human owners currently. My team is certainly not good compared to most (all) other human controlled teams, but I'm perfect so far against BOT teams...here's to hoping for a long string of games vs bot's for a long cup run !
