I think we can all acknowledge that the amount of bot teams in the game is a problem, however the team I'm facing in the next round of the regional cup takes this to new heights:

I am playing against the Mississipi Colonels, which are currently leading (!) division IV.1, an all bot division that isn't even in the lowest tier of the region.

Their players have ages varying from 49 to 65 years old!!!

With the current number of active teams in North America, we could fir them all in division III, but I understand they want to give the new players a feeling of winning and promotion. However this is pretty ridiculous when even divisions such as III.1 are 9/10 bot teams that stand no chance against even the newest of player teams. I feel like we could just get rid of the fifth tier and redistribute teams so that new players still get promoted within 1-2 seasons due to 7-9 teams in their division being bot teams.

I suspect that the maximum age is determined by the datatype used to code their age.
My guess is 4,294,967,295 (unsigned 32-bit integer).
Maybe the sun will turn into a red giant before players reach their maximum age

Yep, this happens. This is from the oldest Dutch player:

Player's natural playing role is Cornerback
He can also play adequately as Offensive Lineman, Wide Receiver, Running Back, Defensive Lineman, Linebacker and Safety
If really needed, he can also step in as Tight End and Quarterback

"Only" downto 12/12.
The skills are usually not very highly trained though.

For starting teams the bot teams full of very old players can be quite dangerous.
