"Kickoff
Jacek Raj performs the kickoff. He kicks the ball for XXX yards. Jakob Thygesen returns for YYY yards and is tackled by Krystian Martynowski. The offense will start on ZZZ yards from the end zone."
Eg, XXX=62, YYY=21. How is ZZZ found to be 71?
Edit: Just to clarify my question. I do know, that the formula is: ZZZ = XXX - YYY + 30.
What I do not know is where does the "30" come from. I believe that the kickoff is from the 35 yards line. Does that mean that the offense start is moved 5 yards towards the endzone?

What is - apologize?
We play under pre-2011 NFL rules. Before 2011 the kickoff was at the 30 yard line.
Yup... never had an update to the system since then...
If this was a soccer simulation game, we would still be allowing the great players like Vinny Jones and Robbie Savage run around on the field or the Cambridge interpretation of offsides.

3-pointer masters in basketball would be in for quite a surprise, too, I suppose
Thanks for the clarification, guys.

And maybe FC Kaiserslautern would still be a top team in the Bundesliga.
