There is a severe lack of decent running backs and linemen, unless someone can help find some? The passing game was very strong, and still is, but the only way to win is have a decent running game and the players aren't there.

Whoever had this National team last time needs to grab a f'in broom, clean up their mess and then sit on it until it hits their tonsils !!

Would greatly appreciate anyone with UK players that they think could be good enough to PM me with their players details

Errr... that was me and to be honest I only changed a few players from what I inherited. The previous manager to me made a lot of changes, and they were certainly not for the better and I didn't have the time to go scouting back for new players.

I'm certainly NOT an expert in these things - I failed to take the UK NT past the 1/4 finals. And, I may NOT be the brightest button in the box as I probably took too many hits to the head when I played as an OLB in the late 80s/early 90s. (Incidentally, my best memory of those glory years was breaking an RBs chin strap buckle with a ferocious hit that Steve Atwater would have been proud of - being an OLB, I picked up the broken buckle as a souvenir.)

The UK was right to run the ball 99% of the time during the last World Cup campaign - witness the recent success of Germany and Russia who grind it out on the ground.

HOWEVER, the UK used the wrong formation - FB/TE/TE/WR/WR.

If you are going to use an ace back formation - the solitary RB must be at HB not FB.

But, as Germany and Russia have shown - if you are going to run the ball every play, you need an HB to carry the ball and an FB to block for him - HB/FB/TE/TE/WR formation.

It is also unfortunate that the UK does not seem to have any decent HBs to choose from. Lucas Rea plays for me - and he's pony! I had an amazing HB the season before, but he was German and I want to use all UK players.

Am I wrong here? Does anyone know of a decent UK RB?

I agree - Keiran Paul Henderson of Matthew's Yeam [NOT Team] (Belarus) could be a very good short-term fix. He has played 72 times for the UK, rushing for 4,760 yards at a very impressive 14.57 avg. per carry. However, Henderson is 39 years old and this distinguished old warrior's best games may well be behind him - he also retires at the end of this season.

I didn't feel the personnel was right. for the HB/FB/TE/TE/WR formation. You can see from my own team that I use this myself. In hindsight I was probably better to just go with this formation with. not the best players, but I gambled and lost unfortunately.

However it's not just offensive problems, on the defensive side of the ball we just couldn't stop the run. Again, was I perhaps compromising a little on formation? Probably.

Enough to be told to sit on a broom until it hits their tonsils? Not really. Although some people on here seem to lack a little decorum in the forums and have a history of this before.

Players on BOT teams do not retire since the team makes no earnings and therefore can not pay the pension fund its money.

If you need a QB, my starter could probably do the job
