Changing player's nationality

I think we could be able to change the nationality of a player after some time playing in the team. Something like: a german player acting for 150 weeks in a brazilian team could have his nationality changed by that brazilian team manager.

I think it will have a good impact on NTs also.

I don't see why it shouldn't be implemented. It would be like that time Bill Belicheck decided to grant Rob Gronkowski full US citizenship after his 150th game. The game could use some added realism.

Will the devs listen though?

Do you mean after signing a 4 year extension below market rate?

not a bad idea really.
For example: I had a Latvian QB, who is member of my team 214 weeks ago. Latvian NT isn't exist...

My swedish QB just became national team member at 22 years of age. I guess that team would not appreciate if i turned him into hungarian.

Actually I am not so sure

For "big" countries (like UK or USA) it wouldn't make much of a difference, but for "small" countries it could be pretty terrible.

Take for example Ireland. Ireland has one TD team, UL Vikings. UL Vikings would be the Irish NT, period. Other Irish-born players that are any good would have changed nationality by the time they would make it to the NT. Being coach of the Irish NT would be boring

Being coach of the Dutch NT would be boring too. The Dutch NT would consist mostly of players from my team, Eindhoven Dolphins, with a handfull of players from the two Dutch Div.II teams sprinkled in.

Nah, it would not be an improvement

That's what my thoughts were, too.
That would only make sense to players whose nations have no NTs, e.g. what TokenD already said with his Latvian player.

I've also a WR from Greece who would make a great performance in a NT. But there is no Greek NT..

I think this would be an improvement

I understand your point. But think with me... The only way to create players of certain nationality is via YA pulls. If a country has only a few teams so the number of generated will be small. And not every youth pull will be a NT player. The best pulls are rarely sold by the teams and the only ones that go away are the less probable to be NT players in the future. So, in my thoughts, we will not have that "boring" problem for the NT coaches.

On the other way, some countries are flooded by NT level players that will never be called due to the high demand. Those players, even if a little less quality, may improve the options for the other nations with small communities. I think we will have a great balance over the time.

Your point is understandable, but ...

An interesting rule would be that, to change your nationality you have turned 28 years old (for example), if at that age the player has not been selected by the NT, then you are free to play in another NT.

And what if just those players' nationality could be changed whose country hasn't got NT ?
The number of the countries who has NT is constant.
