Australia have been drawn in Qualifying group B, alongside Spain(#5), Czech Republic(#20), Mexico(#26) and Bulgaria(#35). Games start on July 5th but our first game isn't until the 12th when we're away to Spain.

The squad is currently made up of 47 players. As far as I can tell from looking at the line-ups from previous games, OG Rix is the only player that's retired though several are marked down for retirement at the end of this season.

I've made a shortlist of players that play abroad on active teams, gleaned from some of your transfer records and previous WC posts, that may, or may not be useful. If anyone would like to look at them and give their thoughts then you're more than welcome to.

Tucker
McGlynn
Staker
Little
McLeod
McAvoy
Hynes

I've not had an in-depth look at the squads of current Australian teams yet so feel free to push someone forward.

Removed two 2nd/3rd string players from bot teams to open up five slots which I've now filled with players from active teams.

McAvoy
Hynes
McGlynn
Aloisi
Alder

Squad's back up to 50 but if there's another contender I can always remove the KR as we've plenty of cover for that.

Bummer, I missed the World Cup announcement by 17 days. What have I been smoking? Oh well.

Unfortunately most of my guys are a few seasons away from being any good.

Best of luck this campaign mate.

Dropped Tenace and Merrett and brought in Dhurrkay. That leaves us with one slot spare.

Darcy Sellar is the only one I can suggest from my team. 5* in both dl and lb.

We're overflowing with Off-linemen so I took out an old bot one and brought Sellar in. Still leaves an open slot which I can use to look at players rather than using scout reports.

Behemoths only options atm..

Wr/gunner - Toby Gilbert
Safety - Jude Hadley

I've stuck Gilbert on my list of options.

I'd be happier with another QB in the squad. Just two seems to be tempting fate. If anyone can remember selling a good prospect, let me know. I've scoured the top two divisions of every region but the pickings are slim. I'll look through the third divisions tomorrow. If all else fails I'll add the pensioner DeLorean.
