10 Star Talent

On one of the threads in the Grid-Iron discussion section everyone seemed to be excited about a player called Borys Bociek. After scouting him, it said he has 4 stars of talent. This seemed fairly low when it says in the FAQ talent can go up to 10.

Is 4 stars as high an amount as anyone can get currently or is it possible for players to get higher?

The highest talent can go is 5 stars, and to get their talent rating you start at 10 and go up 1 for each half star

.5 star=11
1=12
1.5=13
2=14
2.5=15
3=16
3.5=17
4=18
4.5=19
5=20

So someone with 4 stars has an approximate cap of 18 on all his skills, as opposed to someone with 1.5 having an approximate cap of 13.

So the FAQ training section is incorrect where it says:
1 then his maximum is 11
2 then his maximum is 12
3 then his maximum is 13
4 then his maximum is 14
5 then his maximum is 15
6 then his maximum is 16
7 then his maximum is 17
8 then his maximum is 18
9 then his maximum is 19
10 then his maximum is 20

Or am I just reading it wrongly?

No, it's a common mistake. For the numbers on the left, just divide it in half and it equals the star value.

For example, a maximum of 15 is 5. Divided in half, that's 2.5 stars of talent. A maximum of 20 is 10. Divide that in half, it's 5 stars.

I'm not sure why, but the FAQ's put it in a rating value, and the player page has it in stars. For the player in question, his 4 stars of talent=8, which equals an 18 for his maximum.

Hope this helps. It's pretty confusing.

Talent was one among several things that make him a good player
