Hey division mates,

I have figured there is no topic for Division II/2, so i created one. Lets fill it with lively rivalries and banters!

Maybe we could state the objective of our teams for this season. I start: I try to stay middle of the pack, no5 would be lovely result. The target is to secure status and avoid relegation.

Hello.
Avoiding relegation to Div III is obligate. My goal is 3rd to 5th, but that will be a hard fight since we have a couple of good teams more than last season.
Good games for all of you, except against me

Well, avoiding relegation would be ok for me :-)
Anything beyond that, it's a plus.
We'll see, at least we have one bot team so i only have to worry for the remaining 8 teams...

Uff...that was close.
Thought I lost it when the Beavers kicked a FG with around 2mins left on the clock, but luckily my boys rushed a quick winning drive TD...

My team performed much better than expected, won decisively against a former 1st division team. They did it in spite of some coaching mistake, as defensive coordinator prepared the defense all week against the run defense, while the opponent decided to air it out all day long. A win of 56-28 looks really good on that backdrop. Maybe time to consider the Bears as a serious team in the division, and set the bar higher than just maintaining status in the 2nd division.

Good luck to round2, which will bring more clarity about title chase candidates and relegation suspects.

The division is really tough. Looks like almost anyone can beat almost anyone. 8 teams with either 4-2 or 3-3 seems really crazy to me.

And now 2 teams with 5-2 and 6 teams with 4-3. Amazing.

Yes, that's close, even if two teams haven't played the bot yet.

Fair enough, but looks like most teams are fairly favored on a good day or at home, and there seems to be some cross beating. There does not seem to be a clear favorite.

Any given S...aturday, i guess.
