If you're choosing players to develop, how much would you value certain attributes over others? I've read Spilling the Beans and the other guide posted in this forum. But here are some specific questions:

1. If a player has low capped strength, are there good uses for him outside of QB, kicker, gunner, and returner?
2. If a player has low capped speed, how big a difference will that make at DT, OT, or interior O-line?
3. What's more important between high consistency or a slightly higher talent level? In other words, is a 3.5 star prospect with 0-9 consistency preferable to a 3.0 star prospect with 15-20 consistency?

1. Nobody really knows, but I value decent strength for all players except QB, kicker en special teams. There are those who use high speed, low strength players for WR en CB however.
2. Nobody really knows, but I have some low speed players on O-Line and D-Line that seem to be doing just fine.
3. If you are building for the future, which I assume you're doing, then hold on to players of 3.5 talent and higher. To be competitive in the higher leagues you will need players of at least 4.5 BPOS. The importance of consistency is much debated (ehh... nobody really knows ). For QB, MLB and FS I try to get high intelligence and high consistency players. Although also on these positions I have some low consistency players who seem to be doing just fine.

Good luck with your team!

As Simpathia said, nobody really knows... But I will answer you with my point of view:

1. With low strength I simply discard the player from positions like OL, DL and ILB. If he has 19+ speed he may turn into WR, CB, OLB, FS.

2. I prefer to play faster OL as OT and faster DL as DE. But it may also depend on your tactics (more running game? more passes?).

3. Players with 3 star or less talent? I simply do not talk with them... I only care about consistency for QB so I think you should aim for the higher talent when selecting a player.

Again, that's only my oppinion.

Good luck!

1. I'd be willing to use low str at tailback, wide receiver, cornerback, & free safety as well.
2. I don't worry about speed on any of my lineman.
3. If you're choosing between a 4.5* or 5* talent player use consistency as I view 4.5* and 5* talent players as the same. Same with 3.5* and 4* talent players. But, if you're choosing between a 4* and a 4.5* talent player, go with the higher talent.

Just my opinion.
