Just paid 100,000 for a 20 yr old undeveloped 20/20 QB/CB (2 star bpos) with wages of 16,000 because when I asked the team owner what talent he was - he told me 4.5......

Now the player arrives at my squad and is only 3.5........ so he blatantly lied !!

I do not like this at all........ is there any reporting mechanism ?
Thanks

I was tempted to message you and ask the talent of that magnificent specimen you're selling now, just to see what you'd say, but I figured that would be too obvious.

Shame you don't say that every time. Someone could have saved themselves 100k. Or 96.5k maybe.

It's a good suggestion, having people rely on their scouts. And it's a good idea to double check when dealing with large amounts of money. However, it can cost you if you make the buyer rely only on scouts or prove yourself untrustworthy.

There are a limited number of scouts available each week. If I happen to use all my scouts and I don't trust the seller, I won't bid or will only bid small amounts. However, if I trust the bidder, I'm usually willing to keep bidding, thus driving up the price at the very least. I'm sure I'm not the only one that does this.

By being dishonest in a reply about a player, you've potentially cost yourself quite a bit in future dealings.

Just my opinion.

There have always been managers here who have been dishonest in adverts and replying to pms. The old guard amongst us will remember a certain character from eastern Europe many seasons who was famous for it.

As many have said, if in doubt at all, scout report it

Also, I will add.......if you're out of scouts on a given week, simply ask a manager you do trust if they will scout someone for you and then return the favor at some point. As long as you are not posting the information in the forums, I don't think a PM would be any problem
