Considering this game is down to about 800 human managers. Five year ago it was around 3000. The number of youths that float around is so small nowadays. And the ability to build a team good enough to win top divisions is impossible. Most of us are running on players from 5 years ago.

I propose that as of whenever the devs implementation of the suggestion, that managers can select 2 youths per week instead of one. All other youth pull and youth center rules apply.

This may have a two prong effect in increasing the number of players on the transfer market and players available for national teams.

Face it mate, the game needs a revamp.

I feel two YP per week is probably too much, but I am all for a few extra youth pulls per season. Maybe something like we have one week where we can choose all the available selections eg. during the offseason. Like a training camp of sorts. Maybe you get lucky that week, maybe they're all busts and better luck next offseason.

Another option would be to send all those that you didn't choose for any given week straight onto the market. This could make for a fun feeding frenzy every Sunday.

Adding another upgrade that would allow that option, but for a steep maintenance cost would make sense to me. Just awarding more youth would likely kill the secondary market.

Yeah I like the this idea After all, a Sunday is a great day for fishing

It may be too much though It's stated above that there's 800 human teams - that's potentially 2400 youth players on the market every Sunday which for me is way too many.

Maybe the option to select your youth pick as normal PLUS select one youth to be placed on the market could work ? Quite often I personally have to make a coin flip on 2 out of the 4 youths available to me and so this could be interesting.

True, but if you factor in that there would be some teams who only get to choose from 2 or 3 YPs per week, plus the fact that a large percentage of these rejected YPs would choose to retire instead of trying their luck on the market, this number would be drastically reduced while still (hopefully) providing a decent-sized school of young fry for us to collectively run a drag-net through each week. Even then, after purchase, only the promising prospects are going to survive longer than one day, with the low-talents being tossed back into retirement.

1600 youth pulls a weeks isn't too much. When we had 3000 human managers, we had 3000 youth pulls a week.

Currently I only keeps about 6 per season. And half of those fail in physicals capping early. So 3 potentials to keep every season. And that doesn't factor in crappy consistency or a high con, high talent player capping early being used as a kicker. So really 2 player per season are kept from youth pulls to become starters.

So most top div players only begin their starting careers at age 24-25. So you only have 6 good years to use them. So 12 players are home grown from youth pulls. You need a lot more players than 12 to form a good team.

And as our current roster players become aged and we sack them or they retire, this issue will become worse. As these current players were from an era of the game where 2500-3000 youth pulls per week.

Another season or two where 800 youth pulls are pulled each week. We'll be using 2.5 and 3.0 talent players in top div teams.

---

I'm also comfortable with the suggestion that picking 2 youths come in at a certain level of the youth center. Maybe at the stage where we have a selection of three youths, that two become pickable. This still creates the randomness of picking a youth. And makes the youth center more appealing than it currently is.

Though I'd be for any suggestion that increased the number of youth pulls per season. A bag of youths in the offseason would be good also.Last edited on 2018-10-02 at 5:34

There currently is no secondary market. It is full of poorly trains one skills wonders or early capping crap. Lots of chumps. You only get large quantity of quality players toward the end of the season. The market is dead for the rest of the season unless some rage quits and has a fire sale early in the season.

Adding more youth pulls means more trained youths, and more will hit the market over time. Improving the secondary market.

When there was 3000 human managers with 3000 youth pulls per week. The market wasn't killed. Ask any manager that has been around longer than 4-5 years. They'll tell you the market was much better back then.

My suggestion is asking for 1600 per week. Still much less than the 3000 we used to have.
