Position change affects

After reading the forums I have decided to make some fairly drastic changes to my players positions (might not be the best idea). Will this greatly affect the performance of these players??

I realise its a risk in a league game but I feel the quicker I can get these changes done the quicker the team can be improved for the future.

I have 3 players on Offense and 3 on defence playing out of position (5 of which are complete new comers to the positions).

Any comments?

well the players will play slightly worse than they will when they naturalize to that position, but I agree that it is worth switching people now to get them where they should be.

I had done the same with my players in the past and recently and with good gameplanning (scouting opposing team) I have not seen much if any drop in my teams performance.....in other words go for it.

Not worth trying to change if they have more than 2.5 stars though, or else it will probably take more than a season to pull it off.

Thanks for the replies.

Looks like I will go for it, i ams ure some have 3 stars or more but as they are all young hopefully they will be ready soon rather than later. The one older guy has nothing better to do anyway

So if we play a player out of position, eventually his position natural position will change?

I also haven't seen a major change. Last year I decided to start changing my players positions around week 10. I was 8-2 at the time, and ended up 14-4. And one of the losses was because an injury set my lineup to the equivalent of a bot lineup and I had no idea.

This season I'm 5-1 in a league with quite a few humans. So, yes, there is a penalty, but if you're confident that your team is that good and you scout well enough, you should win regardless.

Well with those changes I got my best result of the season 48-0 against a bot granted but still nice.
