I might be biased because I've had some luck away from home, but I'm enjoying this new setup. It means some teams have a fortress-style home record, where they are almost unbeatable, which makes for some interesting sequences and makes for a good challenge to beat them in their ground. It also means weaker teams have a decent chance in half their games if they are promoted out of their depth, and the leagues themselves will surely be much closer and more competitive.

I'm still going to stick with the theory that the other changes they made altered the home field advantage or they flat out changed it and didn't tell us at all. I will stick with A, since I think they would have indicated they would be adjusting it. It only takes one number in the calculation to suddenly have a factor swayed in this way. Besides it's just an opinion until the admins chime in and let us know if they made adjustments to this factor too.

Bottom line, I don't particularly like what it has done to the TD teams and the AFLC. I do agree with what Abcat said about making the away games much more challenging and also my team proved that if your QB is having a super lousy day, like a bunch of INTs, then you can certainly drop home games too.

I'm going to phase out all low con players and work to field only high con moving forward, that's my take

The new section had an announcement that they are making alterations to home field advantage, a few seasons back.

If one doesn't remember or missed it. Doesn't mean the announcement didn't happen.

This home field advantage has gotten beyond the pale.

It’s even ruining the Ashes series.

Home field advantage ruined the AFLC and pretty much the whole game. Some teams played 5 games at home and some played bot teams away, it's simply not fair and realistic. Thank you very much.

Certain studies showed that home field advantage in the NFL brings +3,6 points more than you would normally score. I'd be okay with that but this was nowhere close to that. I realised it doesn't even matter what kind of team I'd field when playing away (and even home). The result is always the same. Winning at home, losing away.
I thought really hard whether I want to continue to support this game and I decided to buy the Supporter account for 2 months until I see if certain changes are going to be made. Otherwise, it will be clear even before the 1st round who'll play in the Iron Bowl. A joke.

Rosario had 5 home games and Vikings had 4 home games and 2 away games with bot teams. Winners shouldn't be decided on luck, otherwise there's no point in trying.

In another post the Admins said they would reevaluate the Home Field Advantage after the season. Hopefully they will adjust things back towards something reasonable.

It is my first time playing AFLC. I never followed it before but only now I figured that some teams play 5 home games. It is absolutely unfair as admins has already stated that HFA is valid in AFLC. It must be changed!

On the other hand, I think that both teams deserve a place in Iron Bowl.
