Has anyone else noticed how the price of well-trained Tight Ends has gone through the roof?

Was hoping to replace mine about 2 seasons ago, and absolutely nothing coming up in the transfer market that isn't being bidded into the stratosphere. A couple of very good teams in my division have suffered catastrophic relegations while trying to go without, and I'm dying of old age waiting for my 20 year old with teamwork 4 to train up to level 6 in blocking, while also needing catching, agility, footwork, strength, speed, vision, positioning, stamina, intelligence, finishing, batting and spell-casting.

I'm now trying to convert one of my established O-liners into a makeshift TE for next season, which is fun because he can't catch a cold. It's either that or my 33 year old TE will be taking to the pitch next season with his drip-stand and Zimmer-frame.

TL;DR: A 27 year old TE I was hoping to get for a few hundred thousand ended up being sold for $7.4 million, and I'm butthurt about this.

But yes... there is a shortage of many players and since TE’s are monsters in this engine, they are either expensive or kept under lock by the managers.

I do remember buying TE Leonard several seasons ago for 7+ million and he single-handedly took me to a regional cup victory and a shot at Top Division.

But luck strikes and I got TE Fusle for 1.5 million.

This has been my approach for the last 6-7 seasons, for the same reason. Just add catching, build up the BPOS and they're good to go.

Only works if speed is not a requirement in your TEs.

I was bidding until the end for Śmigiel. Probably made Dream Team 2 million or so. But the reason was not that he's a TE, it was his TE/WR combination (and 18 CON ). I love those offensive monsters that I can exploit every possible weakness in the Defense with.

Similar thing for me with two top end TE's, so I put one on the market.
