I think that Rodgers' injury was the worst event of this season so far no only for every Packer fan but also to anyone who loves the sport. Till his injury he seemed to be ready for leading his team to another Super Bowl participation. Brett Hundley wasn't impressive at all at his debut. Is there anyone who has the very belief that without Aaron Packers could remain such a competitive team as it was before his injury?

He wasn't ready because he wasn't expecting to start, didn't have reps. We'll see his true value in the upcoming games.

He'd better be good, I took him off waivers to replace Rodgers in all my teams

I've watched him in preseason for the last few years and he looked good. But that was preseason and this is regular season so we'll just have to wait and see how well he does when the pressure is on.

He has played regular season games before. This isn't Rodgers first injury. As long as the OLine keep Huntley from being pressured, he should be quite serviceable at QB.

Personally I would be chasing Kaepernick on the cheap, after a long sit down meeting to discuss whether he'll bring distractions along with him. GB need a QB for half a season. Kap need half a season to get himself back into the free agent market.

I think that Hundley will be potentially good, and i can sense a higher ceiling for him than Kaepernik. Considering the cost, the familiarity of the system, and the potential ceiling, i would stick to Hundley.

I think the Packers can totally make playoffs. If they dont make playoffs, it will be likely either to
- Pass defense
- Running game
Those issues plagued the Packers this season even with Rodgers, and especially the pass defense would make it a longshot that they win Superbowl. What Hundley's insertion means that they also have to figure out the running game, whereas Rodgers was totally able to mask that deficiency.

So they have to work hard on the pass defense if they want to go deep into the playoffs and not just be one and done. No matter who is the QB.

You probably think Tebow should have a job, too.

-OR- Teams just don't want the distraction. Yes he is the face of a racial movement. But he also opted out of his contact and walked away from his previous employer. Future employers want commitment and nil distractions. And his play wasn't that good before walking away from the 49ers.

Vocal Michael Bennet would be jobless also if he getting 2 sacks a season instead of 10 per season.

Yeah I doubt any team wants all the baggage that goes along with him. He would be a big media distraction for the team.

In addition to the distraction he would bring, it's also a bit too late in the season to bring in a brand new QB to be the starter. It takes months to get fully acclimated with a new offense and receiving corps. By the time he would be fully acclimated to the offense, the Packers would likely either have already made the playoffs or failed to make it. I could see them try out back up QBs, but not anyone who could prove to be more trouble than they're worth.

The move to sign Kaep just wouldn't make sense overall.

The Packers do have the talent to make the playoffs, but they need to get healthy, keep running the ball well, and get average QB play out of Hundley.
