So, you would have managers that have spent nine years developing their team, (some of which have a team just as bad as your is right now due to rebuild), lose everything they've developed just because you're too lazy to put the time and effort in to catch up?

Yes, you started late and are behind, but there's always going to be someone starting late and behind. If you have the patience and are willing to learn the game and put forth the effort, you can still become a top team. No team can stay on top forever. Some have managed some pretty incredible rides at the top, but even those have started down or have already come down. Some are even knocking at the door at the top again.

Sorry if this seems harsh in any way, but it's tiring after all these years to keep hearing new managers asking me to wipe my team clean so they don't have to put in the work I've put in to get to the top. It took me about 5-6 years to get to the top the first time. I'm hoping it doesn't take that long the next time, but I also realize that it could take longer. It just depends on how good the competition is now. I'm sure that other long timers would have similar feelings, otherwise, everyone would just fire their entire roster at the end of each season and start over to let the new managers start on equal footing.

Oh, is that what he meant? I'd wondered whether he meant that veteran managers might be allowed some lineup-setting permissions on bot teams in order that lower division managers would feel more involved. Though that might of course hinder human teams trying to get through the lower divisions.

You know, the minute a mod sniffs this thread out it will be locked owing to it not now being off topic.

just find a big gap v human teams.. if default was set as players in order. might be closer game. so more to play for.. lower division.. more interesting to play and keep people, rather than failing, I understand that if older teams are sick of this, but it isn't LAZY to try and keep people playing the game.
If they want they can go overpay for transfer players and go BU$T, to start again.. thoughts

Would it be a better option if new teams could select whatever bot team they would like? They could start in lower divisions if they want time to learn the game as they develop a team or they could start in a higher division if they want more human competition. I'm sure there would be some positives and negatives but this thread makes one ask would it make sense to give owners an option to select the bot team they want?
