Restructure of leagues

I know this will be completely fruitless, but after gaining some insight to some of the lower down international teams I sincerely hope this is given some thought. Not only for the benefit of the game as a whole but the World Cup games also.

Recently I have inherited the New Zealand team, and to say it's in dire straits is an understatement. Because of the lack of human controlled New Zealand teams the national team currently is made up of players well into their 30s, some in their 40s. The current starting QB is 41 and retiring, and from what I have found the next best is 26 years old and has 6 passing.

It's my understanding some of the other national teams are in the same state due to the lack of human teams in those regions. If you look at the Oceana region, in the top division there are 3 bot teams. There are only 6 human teams in the II divisions and only 11 in the III divisions. Even in Atlantic Europe, the IV divisions are now mostly bot. Africa is a joke. Asia just as laughable. Central and South America, loads of divisions but not enough players.

For the sake of the game we need to make this more competitive across the board, to improve the national teams across the board and inject much needed new players into some teams and also make things like the AFLC less predictable. My suggestion would be allow supporters a one time chance to relocate their teams into another region, taking their players with them and a chance to start bringing new youth players in for that country.

Also, flush the bots, and dump the countless leagues that currently have absolutely no one in them. I think new players are frankly going to be put off playing constantly against bot players.

But I'm hoping my point about national teams gets listened to.

While a restructure is needed I am not sure it would help the lower ranked regions too much. Most teams are fairly loyal to their countries as evidenced by the sheer amount of one nation teams.

I reckon some regions should be combined.

Some of the regions probably should be combined. Some of the European and Oceana/Asia should definitely be combined. But if I was given the opportunity right now to move my team to New Zealand I would, as I would probably be a top division team and I would probably be a national team coach every time.

I agree with you too. As a suggestion, I believe that North America and Central & South America could be combined in one. But I do not think that lower NT will get any improvement. Maybe it is time to "downgrade" the WC with less NT...

Not completely sold on the restructuring suggestion (even though more human opponents would be great) but I'll put forward another idea to help replenish some of those NT player pools: every Friday, at training update time, every single bot team gets a youth pull that is automatically sent to the transfer market as a free agent. As some countries have hundreds of bots, while some others have none/only one, the nation of origin for each youth should also be randomized in the interests of fairness.

Then every Sunday at 4am, we can all gather with an eye on the thousands of youthfish swimming about and go fishing en masse.

After a few seasons of developing some of these botlings, not only would many of the existing NT squads have an improved flow of new blood coming through, but we could also consider opening up a few more NTs.

Well you wouldn't be because you're in Oceana with no opposition virtually.

But I like the idea of putting players into the transfer market that aren't form teams.

That is a nice idea! But I still think that some kind of reformulation should be done. Playing against bots all the time is pretty boring... With less divisions, the bot/human ratio will be better and more attractive for new and old managers. But I realize that there will impact the number of free-agent-youth players that you suggested. It is a nice subject for study indeed.

I found as a new team.. I had a youth pull from another Country. France rather than GB.. is that better than botfishpool? take old Country Youth ?

Combining Regions (ie Asia/Oceania) might help get more human teams in a region, but it wouldn't help a NT like New Zealand, they would still have only one or two human teams.

Either they need to remove NT's that have fewer than 10 human teams, or they need to combine NT's. Combining Australia and New Zealand for instance. I know that wouldn't be a very popular solution, but I don't see any other feasible options.

I personally think that if you need 10 human teams to earn a National Team, you need to maintain at least 10 human teams to keep your National Team.
