Team USA moved to 3-0 today with a tough match against Turkey. Defense got more pressure and sacks on the QB during pass situations, so that was a good improvement. Looks like we are going to have some ups and downs with the low con players, but we should be really good on some days and enough to get by on most days, at least during the qualifying. Check back after the next match

Team USA now stands at 4-0 in group B. Tough match today and we had a great 2nd half defensively, shutting down Slovakia that overcame a 0-14 score to move ahead 21-14 at the half. Team USA managed to tie it up and send the game to OT. Winning the toss and making short order of it from there. We seem to be lacking an all around super RB, but enough pieces to get the job done in qualifying. Looks like we have 4 games to experiment and then the going will likely get significantly tougher. Averaging 37 pts per match and giving up 27pts. Check back after game 5

Finished qualifying at 7-1. Inexplicable loss today, but have to tip my hat to Slovakia for completely destroying team USA in the finale today. As usual, the start game ratings lend no help, as virtually every starter for team USA was maxed out at 5 STARS, including the entire defense. These start game ratings are the biggest joke in GI, they literally never match the outcome of games. I will have to take the next round more seriously

Tough go in the World Cup this time around. We only lost 2 games, but by the luck only found in GI, we are going home after finishing 7-1 in the opening round and 2-1 in the 2nd round. Unfortunately, Australia botted their defense in the 3rd game, which led to Australia losing, but also scoring a lot of points in the loss. That also allowed Ukraine to score a lot of points in the win. So at 2-1 and in a 3 way tie with Ukraine and Australia, points were the necessity. Australia already had a healthy supply of points scored thanks to Ireland botting to them in the 1st game. There you have it, GI, in all it's glory, is still just an odd game of luck on some level. Good luck to the final 8

Thanks for managing this season. After giving it a go myself I personally believe other countries have caught and maybe even passed USA in talent. Winning is tough. I encourage USA coaches to develop home grown players over foreign players when possible. Of course this is coming from the guy who will only roster USA players.

It was my pleasure, I believe our team is in good shape, we just need a more prominent running game. We have 3 decent players on the team, but we need a couple of real poppers and they just aren't developed to that point in the USA yet. Also, our OL and DL have too many low con players and they are just inconsistent. If you get good rolls, they are unstoppable, but poor rolls can end up like a 10 point loss to Australia. No offense to Australia as they are rolling quite well, but I don't think we are 10 points behind them in talent. Overall, I'm fine with 9-2 run in the WC, in the end there are things our of your control and you just accept as GI fate. If I don't go bankrupt in the next week, I may throw my hat in the ring for another shot. Train up those OL and RBs and we will be in good shape

I did not see it open at all... Perhaps they have just removed the old NT coaches and the application round will start shortly?
