Hi lads,

I'll be going through teams again for callups soon, so if you have any players you think might be good enough for the NT you can message me and I'll have a look. There is a good bit of the squad getting old now and losing skills fast so some new blood would be good.

Sorry I had missed this post entirely. Still looks like you had a look at my own after calling up Emmet Egan.

I think most of my core of Irish defenders are a season or two off anyway, granted I had thought the same of Egan.

Nice feeling the first time a player you developed reaches national team even if he likely won't make the pitch.

You're right, he probably won't make the team. He's probably at the bottom of the list of CB's at the moment but we have an ageing squad and losing skill points so I wanted to prepare for the future with younger players in all positions where possible. With a bit more improving of his skills he wouldn't be too far off the pitch though.

Yeah I will see. The core of a decent defense uses a lot of players so their skills will get capped at some point.
Will have to make that decision when the time comes but my defense is working well as is so I may decide against too many absolute superstars there.
If nothing else they will provide a solid core of back up and Aguirre will need replacing as soon as the Spanish team drop him.

Gatr doesn't set orders twice in a row which pretty much hands us qualification!

Good job again Ionaldinho!

I would have liked to do better but I'll take qualification.

I think that with significant changes to the roster, qualification was a very good result.

I thought we were playing Friday too. It was lucky that I had a provisional team picked for the game.
