Bummed. We got down early and were never able to threaten the outcome of the game.

Staten feels a little vindicated over his semi final loss last season.

It's silly to interpret too much humanity into a game like GI, but Freytag really is a big time spotlight player. We had to beat Ireland in the qualification to even make it to the World Cup. And he had his best game this year. Now this performance, against a really good team in the semifinal of the World Cup.

It's only fun if you interpret a little humanity into the game, because otherwise we're just hanging out rolling dice...........nah, Flames definitely tossed the clipboard, definitely hit the sideline ref and definitely was escorted to the locker shortly after the replays confirmed it. Congrats to Germany and UK

Yeah, boot the 20 stamina players too, they are worthless. Nice job overall, top 4 program again, but the fans are wanting more

Congrats on the 3rd place Flames and also big congrats to Germany, with an amazing come from behind tie and then OT win. Freytag was not to be held back and pulled it out to seal his legacy in GI

Two straight cycles third place isn't good enough

I had been busy and didn't check on the 3rd place match until now. Congrats on bringing us home a trophy and for managing the club flames. It's great that we are a strong enough country that you feel disappointed with a 3rd place result.
