Hey guys, went all out this year trying to put together a great squad of irish players unfortunately now this week I am going to go broke and lose the team unless i sell the stadium and rebuild. I have trimmed the squad down and have some great youth players and experienced guys worth keeping. Should i just let the team go after all these years and maybe start again or sell up an rebuild?

Also a bit disillusioned by the whole game so............

What should i do?

cheers guys

You are not as far away as you think, if you balance out the player builds you have, bring 2 or 3 more skills up to the level you have you will be very competitive.

Thats if money permits this.

I sold my stadium as i went through the same decision, that was a bad decision
If money is tight then it is easier to sell the high wage players and build back

As Mr.C has shown,it's possible to come back having been on the brink.

Selling the stadium will get you some nice cash and selling the high earners will help with cash flow. Depending on how good your young talents are, you could get some nice income from them also.

I'd always recommend doing everything to save your current side if possible. I'd hate to go back to the start.

The money you earn in this game is unrealistic totally and it spoils the game hugely

I have 18 in players in my squad have played with a tiny squad and somehow now also find my team in the same situation

I am also getting disillusioned with this game. For the next 3 weeks your team earns almost zero income and for 3 weeks i have to find approx 1 million each week to keep my team running

Yeah its a bit of a joke really. My options likes yours are to sell my stadium or sell any facilities i have built, but i think this will also not make a difference

I'd definitely agree with Emeraldfin - it's easier to save your current side if you can. I blew my team up a few seasons ago and then got caught in a downward spiral of losing games and losing revenue as my attendances completely fell away. It took two relegations and a long time to build back up.

The money in the game is unrealistic but then so are a lot of things! I hope you stick around.

The money isn't an issue. I've just looked at the rosters of some posting in this thread. And there is 20 skill $102K OL with the next best around 13 skill $22K. The squads and what is being paid to player has been mismanaged. You cannot strongly block one side of the Oline and then ignore the other side. Otherwise you might as well just have two $22K outside tackles. Which would save $80K per week.

Also one skill wonders hardly preform well for what you are paying them. A Olinemen needs agility and stamina also. Not just 20 blocking.

Never sell a stadium. If is your best form of income.

Thanks guys, I have a fire sale on now Every player bar 1 is 4 star or above, if the players are not sold I won't have a choice but to sell the stadium as I go into this week -185K before the friendly so I won't have a choice if I don't work something out player wise I am selling the best of what i got and have potential good rookies to develop and start again.

I just wish i played in a division and league with only 3-4 good top teams like some of the others. It is good to look good when you have no competition and easy to make money and win when your in a poor league too

But the Atlantic division is probably one of the toughest divisions on here Sam

Try were possible to keep your stadium and if neccessary just sell your roster and sign $1,000 signings to balance your team, once you have survived after a few games next season your income will return then look to build up from the transfer market and youth pulls again, but yeah try not to sell your stadium as it is your main area of income

I would agree with some of the others. Balanced skills are what pays off in this game. Those one skill wonders of yours will struggle against a side who have 4-5 skills trained on each player as well as costing you a lot more only to boot.

Don't sell the stadium. Once those players are gone just make sure that each player has a few skills trained up. Oh and no Kicker should ever be earning that much cash every week un less they have a primary position elsewhere.

@Dan: Oceania isn't the toughest region in the game but it doesn't mean PR's advice is wrong. I imagine most of the ASE top guns would be happy to repeat it.

I wish I played in a region with more than 3-4 good top teams like some of the others. Specially with all those extra cup games to make all that easy extra money like some others.

And yes the Atlantic division is probably one of the toughest division on here. Which is why the teams from regions with only 3-4 teams look good every time the beat those toughened Atlantic teams. Since others have brought up looking good and all. AFLC records done lie.

In the end it is up to any manager to take what advice they wish choose. Some advice may offend other managers in the process. But if you had advice choice between a manager with a Div4 win as a list of achievements, or a World Cup and Iron Bowl finalist to their list of achievements, even though they only look good cos of there poor regional depth of quality teams? Whom would you choose to listen to?

If are are at the point of selling a stadium. Then I would say start again. Starting a new team just before season changeover mean you will collect the prize money for the new team to take over. Which would be a nice new team bonus.

IF you do attempt to keep going with current team. Then problems like paying $102K 20 skill linemen need to be sorted out earlier in the season. It cannot be ignored for nearly a full season. He should have been fired round one. As I exampled, that is $1.5M you'll never get back. And it didn't prevent any extra sacks and pressure from the other side of the OLine. This is the mismanagement I exampled earlier. And that $1.5M pays for the 3 weeks of no income as exampled by another manager earlier. The $102K 20 skill OLinmen is only one example were money could be saved. Then are more avenues within these rosters to save money. I hope you can find ways to do so and hang around.
