So am I right that if one more manager joins China, we get a Nat team?
Is that automatic, or does someone have to initiate this?

It'll be at the discretion of the Admins, but don't hold your breath.

They had 9 active teams 3 weeks ago. So the trend is not looking good for China.

If the Mods were to actually abide by that criteria, we would instantly lose half the NT's

These are the criteria for the creation of of the national team, no to rescue national team. When a country has created NT, I think that if a country has at least one manager, all is OK.

If he has main skills at roughly 10ish and combined physicals of more than 20, then he'd be a starter in the China NT team.
