Denmark (for whome, I am NT coach as the only Danish coach here) has an average age of 41.96 for the 50 players on the National Team. The oldest is 62 years old and the youngest is 24. The average age of the team that beat Austria in the last round was 42.9.

I like coaching the Danish team, but I understand any criticism of the current format. Only three players are not on BOT teams and could easily be replaced with players on a BOT Team. That would give the Danish team and injury proof team of old players that could (I hope so) beat any other National Team. The core of the team has not changed much since we won the WC in World Cup 31 and got to second place in World Cup 32.

Would I still coach the Danish National Team if I lost all the BOT players - Yes. Would it be tougher - Yes. Would it be fair - Yes.

I could of course just remove all BOT team players from the roster and fill it with active players. Perhaps we could be competitive, but would it be fair in light of the faults of the system - No.

So for each new season, the Danish National Team will stay the same - at least until someone changes the format.

And I agree on the AFLC - It would be more fun if that format could change too. Maybe the top four from each division going head-to-head in a cup like manor. But that would give the winner (and 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams) 2 games with full attendance - giving the top teams even more money.
