Unlucky, Micky. A valiant effort thwarted by an OT loss to one of the top sides around

Close, but not good enough, sorry guys.
It's been an honour to manage our team.
Best of luck to the 'next man up' and WC13

Good effort and appreciate the time you've put in as NT manager. Next season will be the charm.

All are capable coaches, and I think Mickey is still one of the better ones out there.

I think we're seeing a similar situation to the Slumbering Skink (the UK) in Oceania Top Div (World Cup). Your list is still phenomenal, but I'm quite sure the gap between the UK and some other teams player skill wise is much smaller now than it was 2-3 cycles ago. The Skinks dominated Oceania League, but by coach Faulcon's own admission, it was partially due to his squad being far ahead of everyone else's. You guys are stock full of 20 skill, 5* BPOS guys... but that's the effective ceiling, so whilst everyone else can grow, you guys cannot (outside random dependent externalities like consistency/intel/physicals). Strongest list out there still, but stagnant. Just look at the starters, most of them (except my WR) have been there for many, many cycles because they're top players that basically couldn't get much better.

This isn't a knock by any means. This cycle's Aussie list is the best ever and we could still only just get the overtime win. I just think that with some teams now filling out the room they had for potential growth, the UK will continue to face better and better lists nearer to their own (without being able to dramatically improve itself) and no longer wipe everybody out like previous.

Insightful comment. There are a lot more 5 star, 20 skill players out there than there were six seasons ago. Other nations have also cottoned on to the idea of being ruthless in cutting 4.5 star and 4 star players, so the gap really has closed.

I still think the 4peat was more to do with luck than UK superiority.

I'd love to one day but I'm not ready yet!

I'm focussing on trying to get players into the team!
