I dunno... Brady threw for 500+ yards and no interceptions in the Super Bowl, it might be a bit premature to say it's definitely over.

Except he fumbled the game away in the clutch and was throwing so many bad passes that even Cris Collinsworth was wondering what was wrong.

The yardage was the product of being behind nearly the entire game paired with the offensive plan to use short passes as a partial replacement for the run game.

Sorry, neither the logic nor the observation pass the smell test. Sure, Brady did a lot of short passing game in the past to extend the running plays, but this was not a typical game of that mold.
Also you present it as if you sat there, and just fumbled the ball without interference of the defense. Awesome. Patriots dynasty is defenetly over, you must be right, hahahaha!

Doesn't pass the smell test? It's literally what happened. Go back and watch if you need to.

The game losing fumble was the product Brady holding onto the ball too long while he was staring down his deep routes. He had 2 wide open receivers for the first down underneath, but he got greedy and fumbled as a result. He didn't show very good pocket presence there.

Check page 26, where I pointed out "As long as they have Belichick, they'll be fine." And they will be, but probably would have been better off keeping Jimmy. Either way Belichick will always keep that ship afloat as long as he's not strong armed by the ownership.

So...

Well Brady had a great Superbowl performance. However that D has not improved and the offense is worse.

The fact that they wanted to trade Gronk does not show much faith in this season either.

I mean I am not saying it is over but it is definitely on the edge. Massive game vs Dolphins next week.

:p.

It may be more hope than anything else but it has to end some day. They do have a lot of players returning/ coming in which could lead to a turn around. Brady is still Brady, he just needs someone (not double coveraged) on every play to throw to.

Though with Bills annihilating the Vikings it seems the any given Sunday phenomenon is in full swing.

It was ironic that the Lions turned in a performance that you would have expected from the Patriots. Ball control passing and rushing, coverage defence and an almost perfect gameplan. The previous two performances from the Lions (especially against the Jets) were vastly different. Interesting to see that injuries have been cited as one of the main reasons for the latest loss. Not many other teams get sympathy from the media for the same reason.
