there is no way the pats win the division. almost every team in the division has a top 10 pass rush and guess what is the weakest spot on the pats? the pass protection. brady will get familiar with the turf this season. honestly it cant all be put on brady, everyone gets older. but belichek failed him. look at how denver has their roster. they are aware that peyton isnt young like andrew luck. they are putting pieces around him to win. they are making his job as easy as possible for him and he is returning the favor. the pats on the other hand need brady to carry the team like when he had a before everything gronk and a randy moss. they have no first round starters. thats bad. revis is looking mortal. if big changes dont happen very soon its over. i expect them to maybe win 2 division games this season and miss the playoffs.

You are a mad man

Are they a super bowl contender? No, not even top 5 in the AFC probably. But I honestly think you're forgetting this: They've won 10 of the last 11 division titles! And they haven't ever lost more than 6 games in that time! You honestly think with having 4 games against the Jets and Bills and another against the inconsistent Dolphins that they only win 2 in the division??

Let's get real. It was ONE game. By that logic, the Packers should have been written off on winning the division after week 1. I don't see anyone else besides the Pats even touching 10 wins in the AFC East. So if they get 9 wins or more, they're probably in the Playoffs.

I think the Pats will struggle to hit 10 wins this season but they'll definitely hit .500 (8-8) if not exceed it at 9-7. My money at the moment would be on 9-7, but they could easily do a typical Pats and turn it around later on in the season.

The AFC East is looking like the weakest of the AFC divisions and I can't see any of the 4 making the wild card berth, so it's all or nothing for a chance to just lose in the WC round to whoever makes it from the North/South/West

I think the AFCE is only gonna see one playoff team this season, and it will be whomever wins the division.

AFCN is much improved. PIT off and def have seen improvements. CIN is playing just as good as last season. And Steve Smith is playing like a lover scourned. He'll do anything to get Baltimore into the final and tell FU to Carolina when they don't.

AFCS is pretty much the same as last season. Colts and Texans duking it out. Didn't rate the Texans at the beginning, but they remind me of Tampa Bay's old SB winning side - defense, defensive scoring, add some time consuming non exciting offence. Win.

AFCW - Denver are Denver, shocking if they ain't in the last 4. KC will make it, but not as many wins due to harder schedule. SD are more buff this season.

So that is 9 teams that need to fit into 6 places. So I fail to see the AFCE supplying more than one playoff team.

I agree with most of that (after all it's a more detailed version of what I said), but you must have been watching a different Texans to everyone else last year if you think they were duking it out with anyone, let alone the Colts!

AFC East winners will be out in the WC round; any of the other teams that PR just listed will beat them without too many issues I reckon

Duking it out with eachother. But they both may make the finals. But I'd still put KC, SD, BAL and PIT over them for a Wildcard place. So only one will probably make it from their division also.

Really too early in the season to make huge predictions for anyone other than the top 2 teams per conference. Week 6 or 7 will be a much clearer picture.

It would appear that rumours of our demise have been greatly exaggerated; wow, just wow so far tonight from the Pats. Now if we could only cut down on the flags...

Same issue with his adverts. Too trigger happy. Same with the girlfriend?
