Have a feeling that I'm going to miss out on points (or lose another game) but it's going to be a close finish.

I've looked at the way the fixtures have panned out for me and it doesn't make good reading. Of the 8 games only 1 will be played in the bigger stadium (the opposite of standard cup games). The attendance difference is minus 113,400 which works out to quite a payout even after the receipts are shared.

Monsters of Midway have the best chance of the three teams at the top. Grizzlys or Black Sheeps are probably waiting.

Completely agree, I'm looking for Spartans to throw a spanner in the works, but MOM look favourites. I'd go with GDSL in group B but that's not a cert either.

Big win for GDSL today over Hakers. A win next week over the Black Sheep and they are into the final.

Hopefully Ray can join him.

Thanks, I hope so too but I think the points difference will be a problem, assuming I manage to win out which is not going to be easy. I am happy that I've not been embarrassed so far, even allowing for a big loss in the first game.

Yeah, at the moment I don't see anyone shifting Monsters of Midway off the top. They've got two of the weaker teams left and a points differential - mostly due to the Spartans just playing a bot defence against them (Seriously? A bot defence literally on the day furthest away from training rollover? Conspiracy hat on ). The hilarious thing is, it was an injured Aussie DL that botted him, and a DL I dropped from the squad this cycle!

I'm on top at the moment, but have a bye next and then Spartans (who presumably won't bot defence against me). Ray seems to have the toughest draw left with two pretty solid teams.

Would be disappointing to see a team I beat go through on points difference, but them's the breaks (thanks to those meddling littlemenonthepitchhitchin).

Yep, sorry about that, messed everything up! Bot defense is a killer for points difference but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Nah, don't be sorry. You're ridiculously close yourself. I managed to make it sound like it was a two horse race, but it certainly isn't. You've got the pressure of trying to make it an all ASE Iron Bowl, and I've got the pressure of trying to be the first Oceania team to get there.

We're almost brothers in arms basically given how we're both seemingly going to lose on points difference (assuming, and this is a big if, all 3 teams win out) aided largely by a bot defence. I wonder if we could politely ask for the same favour? hahaha.

As far as I can remember I've only ever had 1 game where someone botted defense accidentally so I'm not expecting it to happen again! (I haven't been so generous, I haven't botted at all yet).
