I think we already know which division they are coming back to ie "the usual" - 2.1 I hope I'm wrong.

The rivalry in 3.9 must be pretty intense by now. The loser faces a third season of bot-bashing in div III. Will certainly test the resolve of the team not promoting.

The Beasts made light work of the Beavers and join Blood Army and Blacktown in Top Division for season 18. Hopefully the 3 débutantes can put up a fight and challenge some of the big guns (or at least survive where so many others have failed/botted/been exposed as multis/some or all of the above)... but if not, enjoy the weekly shellackings guys, and we'll see you again in season 19!

There will also be no Beavers-Bananas league clashes for now, with Belconnen Barbarians advancing into the second tier ahead of the Bananas on points. Other div III teams on the way up include 3.4's Dexterity and 3.5's The Fu joining Taree in 2.2 - while the Montereau Strickers are the only new ones joining 2.1 after my good friend Nick and his Memphis Pharaohz managed to bot their way out of promotion, despite starting 3.3 in first place with 2 games left to play. Why, man, why?!

Along with Colah Ck demoting back to div II, season 18 also sees one of Oceania's oldest bot teams finally dropping down to div III. Is this the end for soon to be 49-year-old Mavericks lineman Seth Sinclair? Assuming the Mavericks are replaced at long last, there will be just one Aussie player closing in on 50 years, I don't know his name but he is on the Ipswich Jets, another botted relic from season 1 that has lurked in division 2.3 since it begun in 2008.
