wow, only one week, we really should have a USA database going so we can be doing this during the season with a few scouts per week as needed. One accessible to only USA managers. At least one with player names (ID number), age, position and salary. Need to also consider using hakers website or something similar to store information on. Update list each season and have a junk list to move players that are removed from future consideration, due to lopsided builds, declining fitness or whatever reason.

I'm thinking long term there. Since we only have a week, just let me know what region to cover and I will get on it

Phi, if you want, I can try to keep the database somewhat updated, I could send you my email and you could just do a copy/paste with the info you want added then I could do all the typing and data entry.

Obviously, the future is important, but we have to get ready for this cycle as well, so I (and I bet most other US managers) want you to be able to focus on the current cycle. So anything I can do to lighten the load just say so.

OK, I now have a list of nearly 600 potential candidates, I have scout reports or some relevant information on about 150 of them. We may have some more candidate reports to come in, but we'll go ahead and start actually scouting more prospects at this time. I'll try to save some of mine in case a good prospect shows up in the next couple of days. If nothing shows up, I'll be able to use the rest of them on other prospects anyway. There's plenty to choose from.

I'll send a list of prospects that can be scouted to all who volunteer to use scouts to help out this season. Each list will probably include more than 5 players. I'll let each volunteer decide which on the list they wish to scout. Judging by salaries, we can all see what should be top prospects, but many of my scouts have turned up duds, so I'm hoping that be giving you a chance to use your judgement, maybe we can turn up some better prospects.
Those that have volunteered scouts should get a message from me by morning. If you receive a PM from me and are unable to scout any players or can't/don't want to scout all of them, please let me know which ones so I can send those names on to someone else. If you did not receive a PM from me and want to help with scouting, please let me know so I can send you a list.
Just PM me the reports when you get them.
