I'm going to put it out there that the UK performances this season were as strong as they've ever been, and we only got beat because of bad dice rolls (we have had them coming for a while).

The job will be open in a few weeks. There's probably 15-20 managers in the UK who would do a superb job, and I don't think there will ever be a better time to apply for the role.

Just two main qualifications really:

* The ability to get up at 5am on a Friday morning to set orders against New Zealand
* Not owning a team in imminent danger of bankruptcy

The 5am is the killer for me lol. I might throw my hat into the ring though for a national side who haven't got there own coach.

Appreciate those kind words

One manager I'd like to see have a go is Micky

Micky would be a great choice. Number 1 candidate in my eyes.

Ray too, if he's not too busy in the AFLC.

Philiom and Newton might be interested as well. Phiba also has relevant experience, and a casual glance through divisions 2 and 3 reveals 20+ managers with over three years of experience and four more with World Cup previous - Strata, Mark Phillips, Afooty, and Monkey.

We aren't short of quality managers.

And don't even get me started on some of the newer managers in div 4...

Thanks for the mention

Are you applying for it Abcat? Or are you going to see if they'll let you stay on with Bosnia?

I was considering putting myself forward, but there are better qualified managers and I probably won't if you're applying for it.

I wouldn't mind coaching New Zealand for another cycle. I think there's only 1 NZ manager who might possibly apply for it and he didn't last cycle. If he doesn't I'm not sure if the admins would let me stay on or whether they'd want to give someone else the opportunity

Not this season. Am hoping for some nice holidays in remote places this summer/autumn, which will make me unable to fulfill the role properly. Have done my bit for Bosnia too. Looking forward to seeing some new faces step up.
