This thread has not been updated in a while, but I'll venture to say that good old AbCat should be part of the HOF at this point. One Iron Bowl, 3 league titles and that elusive RC (finally) are good enough in my book. Bonus points for his stellar accomplishments as a NT Head Coach and for being one of the funniest posters around.

Don't forget about that. The World Cup final between his Great Britain team and my German team was one of the toughest losses I have ever witnessed at GI. And that's saying something. Of course I was very happy about the result (it was the first World Cup victory for me as NT coach, that's always special), but I felt deeply sorry for AbCat. What a heart breaker. He was literally just a few Yards here and there away from being a World Cup winning NT Coach.

I don't think you have to be that sorry - as far as I know he allready won two World Cups of his own

That said, I can only support the suggestion from Audrey Forever.
There are a lot of good managers in ASE, but there is only one legend.

Well, that certainly can ease the pain. I didn't know that. Have to say though, I have won two World Cups now and if I lose a World Cup final like this it would still be very hard.

Updated with two new teams - always a good day if someone calls you a legend, even if it's for an online game. I had refrained from adding myself before because my best achievement was building the National Team that won 4 World Cups in a row, which isn't tied to team achievements. As it's been mentioned a few times I've added World Cup exploits to some of these team's manager's CVs. I'd appreciate if someone could verify or remember if any of those Polish managers brought home a World Cup.

On the subject of World Cups, having had more than my fair share of good luck in that competition - in previous tournaments we inflicted tougher losses on many good teams - I'm not bitter about losing the most recent one to Germany.

There has been a recent update apparently, but it seems that new teams were not admitted in the HOF this time.

By the way, what else is Gatr supposed to do to dethrone Serrie as the GOAT? Gatr went to 3 IB and won each of those in dominating fashion (seriously, everyone of these games was a freaking blowout and I speak from personal experience). This kind of supremacy on the biggest stage of GI is unprecedented and unparalleled, thus deserving some recognition for sure. Gatr is also on par with Serrie with the other trophies: Serrie has one more league title, but Gatr has two more Regional Cups in the bag.

You can also argue that Serrie was playing against a less competitive field back in his days and had the luxury to start in the Top Division since Day 1 of GI, while Gatr had to climb all the way from Div. V and had to duke it out with some more formidable opponents in the process. But this is some subjective analysis obviously, while trophies and accomplishments are written in stone and are much easier to compare instead.

Bottom line, Gatr should be #1 and it is not even close IMHO.

Wow, a bit humbling to read this post! Thanks for the kind words, winning the Iron Bowl Season 22 was kind of special for me. I was just lucky, a lot of smoke and mirrors oh and those were all trophies back in the day when fitness beasts were still part of the roster. I was extremely lucky on players not capping. Now fitness advantages are gone and homefield advantage is something to work through. The entire list is pretty impressive, many of the teams that I admired when I first started and throughout my time here. Happy to be in the discussion and hope to get competitive again now that my finances are back in order. Weasel should have been in long ago, I have long admired all he has done in the game and for the game, most particularly his WC efforts (both in the scouting and coaching). I'm secretly jealous of all those awesome scouting posts that track all their players by position. So big congrats

Just a small adjustment now.

The only thing he had left to do was end his reign of terror. I like to incorporate a little bit of latency to the rankings to keep that authentic, museum-like feel.

It's all just a tiny blip in the rear view mirror now, but thank you very much for the nod. Just being on the list is great company! TD finally zapped all my funds. It will take a lot of work to get back to any kind of reign and I'm pinning the hopes for another run on a sweet QB by the name of Ciaran Milne, my franchise player from the UK
