Since this is my first offseason I was wondering what happens after friendly games are over this week. I've heard we take a week off and allow for divisions to implement their relegation/promotions, but can someone give me a timetable on how long until next season starts and if friendly games will be played next week etc. thanks

sun 09 - last league games S13
mon 10 - friendly games
tue 11
wed 12 - financial update
thu 13 - nutrition update
fri 14 - training update (season changeover 9-5 server time*)
sat 15 -
sun 16 -
mon 17 - friendly games (season changeover 9-5 server time*)
tue 18
wed 19 - financial update
thu 20 - nutrition update
fri 21 - training update
sat 22 - 1st league games S14
sun 23 - 1st league games S14

* = only one of these will happen. and might even be different than listed above. last season it happened on monday. the 3 seasons before that it was fridays. and way before that is used to be on wednesdays.

season changeover includes trophies, retirements, players aging, wage calculations, promotion/demotions, prize money. admins will inform us closer to the date when it actually will be happening.

do not pick your friday 14th youth pull until after the season changeover.

if promoting, do not pick your 3 game day sponsors until after the season changeover also.

Thanks for the tip on delaying game day sponsors - I never would have thought of that otherwise.

It's a shame there's no way of knowing in advance whether your first game of the new season is going to be home or away. For the last couple of seasons I've updated the stadium extensively during offseason, but as construction takes 15 days there's always a gamble that you'll be playing your first game of the new season in an incomplete stadium.

A few seasons ago I miscalculated the start of the next season and found myself with an opening home game and zero seats. Of course this was followed up by back to back road games. Not a fun financial start to a season.

Stadium building only happens for me if:-

Last game of the season is an away game,
-or-
2 away games in a row within the first 9 weeks (normally got cup games in second half).

the amount you get for for 3 game day sponsors increases the higher levels/teirs you are in. not much extra but it is extra.
