What does the blocking skill actually mean?
To me blocking is useful for FB, TE and OL or even RB in pass protection but in training it's part of the "Defending" skills. Is it useful for d-linemen for picking up (blocking) holes in the running game or anything like that?
Thanks

No, tackling works for D-Lineman. They're stubborn in the way of blocking being a defensive training thing.

Yeah, OLs are in offensive formation, but their tasks are quite defensive (protect QB or enable RB to run well), so I think it's correct to put blocking in defensive trainings!

I'd agree about protecting the QB but I see nothing defensive about trying to run over a d-lineman to create a hole for the RB but I know what you mean, thanks
